Engagement events with children and young people, parents, carers and families using respiratory services at the Royal Brompton
As you may have read in Heart News or here on the London Specialised Commissioning Group (SCG) website, the SCG is planning an engagement exercise to consider the impact of potential Paediatric Intensive Care (PIC) changes at  the Brompton Hospital.

We are going to be seeking the views of children and young people who are respiratory patients, and parents, carers and families of respiratory patients who have used, or who are potential users of, the Royal Brompton Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

To register your interest in participating in these events, please send an email with your contact details to respiratoryengagement@londonscg.nhs.uk

My care, I care ? HIV patient survey is launched

London HIV Patient SurveyIf you are a person living with HIV and using NHS services in London, we’d like to hear from you about your experience of care.

The London Specialised Commissioning Group (SCG) works on behalf of the capital’s 31 primary care trusts to understand the health needs of Londoners and agree the types of specialised services that will meet those needs. We then commission safe, reliable and cost-effective services and evaluate their effect.

Specialised services are often cutting-edge and provided to a small number of patients who are suffering from uncommon conditions, such as cancer in children or young people, or haemophilia. Treatment is frequently over a long period of time and requires a large team of specialist clinicians to provide patients with the best possible care and an improved quality of life.

If you are looking for information about a specific condition, we will shortly be developing a section on our services on this website. Alternatively, you may find it helpful to visit the NHS Direct website. If you are seeking medical advice, please contact NHS Direct either via the website or telephone 0845 4647.

If you are looking for general information about the NHS and local health services such as hospitals and general practitioners we suggest that you visit NHS.UK.
